Technical Support
After downloading the model, how can I make it “Trusted” to run the macros and other functionalities?
If you encounter a “Security Risk” message or the macros aren’t working after downloading the model, follow these steps to make the file trusted:
- Locate the file: Go to the folder where you saved the downloaded model.
- Right-click the file: Select ‘Properties’ from the menu.
- Unblock the file: In the ‘Properties’ window, under the ‘General’ tab, scroll to the bottom. If you see a ‘Security’ section with an ‘Unblock’ checkbox, tick the box.
- Apply and close: Click ‘Apply,’ then ‘OK’ to save the changes.
This process ensures your file is marked as safe, resolving the issue and enabling macros to function smoothly for an optimal experience with the model.
If you’re unsure or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team.
What are Privacy Levels, and how should I set them?
When you open the Digi Advisors product for HAM, you might see a Privacy Levels pop-up. This relates to the external connection used solely to update the Bid Due Date, ensuring accurate calculations. All your inputs remain private and confidential, with no data extracted or exported from your hard disk via this connection. When prompted, select the ‘Private’ option for the current workbook to proceed securely.
What should I do if I encounter an error in the model?
If you experience any technical issues, visit the “Contact Us” section on our website and share the details of the problem. Our support team will assist you promptly.
What happens if I receive a corrupted file after payment?
If you receive a corrupted file through email after payment, contact our support team right away. After verifying your purchase, we’ll provide you with a replacement.
Why can't I access the input sheets when I first open the model?
The input sheets remain inaccessible initially to ensure the model’s functionality and data integrity. To access them, enable macros and mark the file as trusted.
How do I enable macros and trust the file to access the input sheets?
To enable macros and trust the file:
- Open the Excel file.
- Click Enable Content in the security warning bar at the top of the Excel window.
- Alternatively, go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.
- Under Macro Settings, select Enable all macros and check Trust access to the VBA project object model.
- After enabling macros and trusting the file, you will be able to access the input sheets and use the model as intended.
Why is it necessary to enable macros and trust the file?
Enabling macros and trusting the file ensures the model functions as intended, including running calculations and protecting data. Without these settings, key features like input sheets will remain inaccessible, and you won’t be able to interact with the data properly
Do the models require iterative calculations, and how can I enable them in Excel?
Yes, our financial models rely on iterative calculations for accurate results, especially in scenarios involving circular references, such as interest calculations. To enable them:
- Open Excel and go to File > Options.
- Navigate to the Formulas tab.
- Under the Calculation options section, check the box for Enable iterative calculation.
- Set Maximum Iterations to 100 and Maximum Change to 0.001 for optimal performance.
- Click OK to save your settings.
Note: Iterative calculations are crucial for the model to function correctly. Disabling them may result in errors or incorrect outputs.
How can I identify the input sheets and input cells in the model?
In the model, the input sheets are color-coded to help you easily identify where data can be entered:
- Input Sheets and Cells: The input sheets are highlighted in blue, and the cells where you can enter data will have a grey background. Regardless of the background colour, all input cells will have blue text for consistency.
- Bid Project Cost: The input cell for your bidding cost input will have red text instead of blue.
- Conditionally Formatted Input Cells: Some input cells may change colour (e.g., green or red) depending on the input you provide. These colour changes are based on the conditions set in the model to guide you and show whether the input is within an acceptable range or needs attention. However, the text in these cells will always remain blue.
Why are the input cells color-coded?
What is the Master Check, and why is it important?
The Master Check is a built-in validation tool within the model that ensures all calculations are accurate.
After entering all your inputs, for the model to function correctly and provide reliable results, the Master Check must display “Okay” in green.
In some cases, you may need to re-iterate the calculations by pressing F9 six to ten times to resolve this.
What should I do if the Master Check shows "Error"?
If the Master Check displays “Error,” go to the “Checks” sheet, where you’ll find details about the issue, including error messages and highlighted sections. To resolve errors, follow these major checks in the Digi Advisors financial model:
- MCA Check: Based on Clause 22.1 of the concession agreement, this check ensures the ability to achieve Financial Close.
- Internal Checks: Resolve all other errors first. If the error persists, please contact us.
- Phasing Check: Double-check your inputs in the EPC Phasing sheet to avoid errors.
- Financial Check: After resolving other errors, press F9 5–6 times to complete the iterations. If the issue persists, recheck your inputs.
- DSRA Check: Address other errors first. If the issue persists, contact us.
- Schedule-G: Ensure the phasing aligns with the specifications in Schedule-G of the concession agreement.
- MCLR Date Validity: Update MCLR rates and their corresponding dates in the Assumption sheet.
- Senior Loan Repayment: Verify repayment percentages in the Senior Loan Repayment section of the Dashboard.
- Refresh Data: To refresh data, press Update Bid Due Date next to the Dashboard module or go to the Data tab and click Refresh All.
If you encounter a circular reference error, download the financial model again from your account page and carefully input your values.

What is the "Financial Check," and how do I resolve its errors?
The Financial Check ensures the integrity of iterative calculations for financial calculations. If it shows “Error,” follow these steps:
- Ensure iterative calculations are enabled in Excel.
- Allow the model to iterate fully by pressing F9, watching the bottom-right status bar for updates (next to the zoom slider).
- Repeat the iterations six to ten times, or until no further changes show up on the status bar.
- If the error persists, go to the “Fin-IGAAP” sheet to check and resolve any issues with the iterative calculations by manipulating your inputs.
If the issue remains unresolved, it may be caused by incorrect inputs. In this case, download a fresh copy of the model and carefully input your values to avoid any errors.
